That statement had been uttered time and again during our marriage. However, it wasn't until a night in January of 2026 that we realized how we could do it.
Ben, a 10+ year professional within the baseball sporting goods industry, had spent a portion of the new year relacing gloves for friends and co-workers. JoEllen, a 7+ year professional of motherhood, was brainstorming ways to help pay for the upcoming spring sports seasons for their children. In his career, Ben had seen many relacing businesses started by others. A five-second moment hit both Ben and JoEllen: we could set up a family glove relacing business!
Every glove or mitt that is relaced by Mission Ballglove will receive care and attention from Ben as he dedicates the time to ensure the glove leaves our Mission, KS shop better than it arrived. Meanwhile, JoEllen will listen to each customer and guide them through the process of ensuring their glove gets to the shop and back to them in a timely manner!
And in case you're wondering...we're named after our hometown in suburban Kansas City that we love dearly!
